Chairperson DDC Ramban inspects developmental activities in Gool

In continuation of her tour to far-flung areas of the district, Chairperson District Development Council Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan today visited Sub-division Gool to take stock of developmental activities and implementation of flagship schemes in the area.
The DDC Chairperson was accompanied by the SDM Gool, Tanveer –Ul-Majid, and several other officers.
The DDC Chairperson along with Joint Director Floriculture, Jammu Sunil Singh, Assistant Floriculture Officer, Arjun Parihar, and other officers also visited Gool-Dagantop area to identify the land for the establishment of Tulip Garden.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shan said that the footfall of tourists will be enhanced immensely with the establishment of a Tulip garden in the area. With the establishment of Tulip Garden and tourism-related infrastructure more job opportunities will be generated for locals, she added.
She said this will also highlight the tourism potential of the district across the world and enhance the experience of tourists which helps to boost local business.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson inspected various developmental projects being executed under different sectors in the area.
After listening to issues and demands highlighted by the locals, the Chairperson directed the concerned officers to resolve all genuine issues especially pertaining to the basic amenities. She also assured the locals that their genuine issues shall be taken up with the higher authorities for their desired redressal.
Directing the officers of the line department to sensitize the people besides providing the benefit of schemes to the public at their doorsteps, the Chairperson asked the people especially youth to avail Job oriented schemes of different sectors.
