Buffliaz, March 8, 2025 – The Block Development Office, in collaboration with local governance bodies, celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm in Block Buffliaz. The event highlighted the pivotal role of women in rural development and reinforced the commitment to gender equality and empowerment.
Buffliaz Lower B was selected as the best Panchayat in the district after evaluation of PDI regarding the SDG Women’s and child friendly Panchayat.
A key feature of the celebration was a specialized training session under the Women and Child-Friendly Panchayats initiative. The training aimed to equip women with the necessary skills and knowledge to actively participate in local governance, economic activities, and social welfare programs.
Sh. Trishant Kartar Panchayat Secretary (Nodal Person) conducted interactive sessions on rights awareness, financial literacy, leadership development, and access to government schemes.
Major Dr.Jyoti also addressed the women about the well-being and discussed the day to day problems faced by women related to health issues. Amit Singh (SI) I/C B Galla also had an interactive session with the women’s about their rights and cyber security.
Addressing the gathering, local officials of ICDS, health department and dignitaries emphasized the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive environment for women. They reiterated that empowering women at the grassroots level contributes significantly to overall community development. Inspirational stories of successful women from the region were also shared, motivating attendees to take charge of their future.
Miss Tahira Tabassum Social and political activist And Ex-Sarpanch Of Bufliaz block also had an interactive session with the women’s and enlighten them on the topic of women’s participation in local bodies.Tahira Tabassum emphasized the role importance of education among the women students and Giving respect and honor to women is the need of the hour. Tahira thanks to Indian Army for their outstanding co-operation and support for the betterment of our society. Indian Army played a vital role for the uplifting women empowerment.
On this occasion, all the dignitaries congratulated Tahira Tabassum Ex. Sarpanch Bufliaz for doing a great job in the Panchayat, due to which the Panchayat came in first place at the district level.Panchayat Bufliaz B was selected as the best Panchayat in the district after evaluation of PDI Regarding the SDG women’s and child friendly Panchayat.
