On June 19, in Delhi’s Mandoli Area, a public robbery took place where three individuals were caught on CCTV as they stole ₹1 lakh from a man. The Delhi Police have registered a case and are currently making efforts to apprehend the robbers, as stated by the authorities.

In a video captured by news agency ANI, the footage reveals a man seated on the pillion of a motorcycle, holding a bag. As the bike begins to move, two men approach it.

The two men swiftly grab the bag, causing the pillion rider to be dragged along the road, and they hastily flee the scene. On the opposite side of the road, a man on another bike can be observed waiting for the two robbers. The pair joins him on the pillion of the bike, and they ride away together.

Additionally, in a separate incident at the new Pragati Maidan tunnel, two men were robbed of ₹2 lakh. According to the police, four men on two motorcycles ambushed a taxi inside the tunnel on Saturday afternoon and forcibly took the cash from the passengers at gunpoint. The culprits managed to escape with approximately ₹2 lakh.

Authorities mentioned that while the tunnel has around 16 security guards, there are no CCTV cameras installed within the structure. However, officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) stated that CCTV cameras had indeed been installed in the tunnel, although they did not confirm the number of operational cameras.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Pranav Tayal explained, “According to the complaint, the victims hired an Ola cab near Red Fort. Upon entering the Pragati Maidan tunnel from Ring Road, four individuals on two motorcycles intercepted their cab and robbed them of the cash bag at gunpoint.”
