J&K records 44.08 % voter turnout till 1pm in Phase-III of J&K Assembly polls
The third (last) phase of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections recorded an 44.08% voter turnout by 1pm, official said.
“All the 40 assembly constituencies of seven districts of Jammu and Kashmir have recorded 44.08 percent voter turnout till 1pm in the second phase of Assembly Elections in the Union Territory”, communicated the Chief Electoral Officer, J&K as per news agency Kashmir Bulletin
As per official district wise data available with KB reads that, Bandipora recorded 42.67% voter turnout, Baramulla 36.60%, Jammu 43.36%, Kathua 50.09%, Kupwara 42.08%, Samba 49.73% and Udhampur recorded 51.66% voter turnout till 1pm.
The 3rd (last) phase of General Elections to J&K Legislative Assembly is ongoing in 40 Assembly Constituencies (ACs) across seven districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
In this phase, there are 39,18,220 lakh voters eligible to exercise their franchise. Out of them, there are 20,09,033 male voters; 19,40,092 female voters and 57 third gender voters.
As many as 1.94 lakh youth between the age group 18-19 years, along with 35,860 Person with Disabilities (PwDs) and 32,953 elderly voters above the age of 85 are also eligible to exercise their franchise in this phase.
The respective District Administrations have made elaborative arrangements at all the polling stations for free, fair and transparent elections.
