Srinagar, 26 May (Gulistan News): The body of a missing boy identified as Innayat Ahmed Ganie alias Anees, son of Gh Mohammad Ganie, a resident of Palapora Goripora, was recovered from the River Jhelum near Chochen Faqeer, Takanwaripora Noorbagh Srinagar.

Innayat had been reported missing since May 22, 2025. The police retrieved his body from the river and sent it for postmortem to Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar.

The deceased boy’s family has called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death and has demanded justice. They have expressed concern over the incident and urged the authorities to uncover the truth.

Meanwhile, SHO Safakadal stated that the postmortem has been completed and the body will be handed over to the family shortly.

He assured that the case is being investigated and that further action will be taken based on the postmortem report and other evidence.
