“BJP re-introduced article 370 and 35(A) from backdoor”: Advocate Ankur Sharma
President of Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal (earlier Ek jutt Jammu) Advocate Ankur Sharma while taking a dig on Thursday at Kashmir based political leadership and reacting to recent SC’s verdict on removal of article 370 said that BJP and Congress are alike on the ruling out of article 370 and 35(A) from the Indian Constitution.
Interacting with media, Advocate Ankur Sharma said, “BJP and Congress are same on article 370 and article 35(A). Indeed, they abrogated these articles in parliament but the government re-introduced these articles from back door.”
“The government abrogated these articles in parliament but they stopped there and never proceeded further.”
“Through the medium of J&K’s special status the separatists had upper hand in the affairs of local govt and they still have. After the reading down of article-370 why did not the administrative power was transferred to Nationalists”, he asked.
“The locus of power should have concentrated in Jammu after the delimitation exercise in J&K but it didn’t happened”, President of Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal questioned.
“When article 370 and article 35(A) were in existence, the central power was in hands of Kashmir based political parties. In 2011 census, government provided false data. On the basis of this data, they reserved forty seven seats in Kashmir and only forty three seats in Jammu. Moreover, out of 43 seats in Jammu, Kashmir based politicals would take atleast 10 seats from the four zila’s of Jammu: Doda,Kishtwar,Rajouri and Poonch. In legislative assembly, majority strength was held by Kashmir bases political parties. As a result, they used to hold central power in J&K.”
“The abrogation of article 370 and 35(A) should have changed this situation and resulted in transfer of central powers to Jammu but it never happened,” he further added.
“To re-introduced these articles, BJP introduced two new policies: Domicile Law and Agriculturist Certificate” he stated.
“To tackle these actions of government, we have united together and formed to fight together with the other Indians against these decisions.”
