BJP Kashmir Unit Protests Against Killing of Party Worker and Alleged Attack on Tourists

In a significant demonstration of dissent, BJP leaders from the Kashmir unit, led by party spokesman Altaf Thakur, staged a protest today at the BJP headquarters in Srinagar. The protest was ignited by the recent killing of BJP worker Aijaz Ahmed Sheikh and an alleged attack on tourists.

The demonstrators, holding banners with slogans such as “Stop Innocent Killings” and “Pakistan Must Answer,” expressed their condemnation of the violence and demanded stringent actions against the perpetrators. The protesters urged the authorities to ensure justice for the slain party worker and to take decisive measures to prevent further attacks on civilians.

Altaf Thakur addressed the gathering, condemning the attacks and calling for immediate and severe punishment for those involved in the killing of Sheikh. Thakur emphasized the need for enhanced security measures for BJP workers and civilians in the region, stressing that such acts of violence undermine the stability and peace efforts in Jammu and Kashmir.

The protest underscores the ongoing tensions and challenges faced by political activists and civilians in the region, with many calling for stronger governmental intervention to address the security concerns. The BJP leaders reiterated their commitment to advocating for the rights and safety of the people of Kashmir, vowing to continue their efforts until justice is served.

As the situation unfolds, the authorities are under increasing pressure to investigate the incidents thoroughly and to take concrete steps to prevent further violence, ensuring the safety of both locals and visitors in Kashmir.
