National Conference leader and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Tuesday said that BJP doesn’t want Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir as this party has no guts to face the people.
Omar Abdullah said that assembly elections are nowhere in sight in Jammu and Kashmir. “They (BJP) are interested in Parliament and Panchayat elections but don’t want Assembly elections,” he said adding BJP has no courage to face the people.
Omar Abdullah said that the Election Commission of India might not have got a green signal from the Centre. “ECI consults the ruling party in Centre and I think the Commission has not got a green signal vis-à-vis holding assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said adding that they (political parties) are not going to beg for the elections.
When asked why political parties don’t come on the roads and demand early elections Omar Abdullah retorted back saying why people don’t come on roads if they are suffering and facing problems.
