Bihar journalist murder case: A journalist was killed early this morning in Bihar’s Araria district after unidentified assailants broke into his home and started fire.
Bimal Yadav, the victim’s name, worked at Dainik Jagran. Four individuals who arrived at his Raniganj home shot him in the chest. Yadav died instantly. At the post-mortem location, there was a huge outcry.#CrimeAccountability
Police officials, including the Superintendent of Police and a Member of Parliament of the area are present at the site.
“A journalist from Dainik Jagran, Vimal, was shot dead by four men at around 5.30 a.m. in Raniganj market area in Bihar’s Araria,” said Araria SP Ashok Kumar Singh. The FSL team is on the scene, and the deceased’s body was transported for a post-mortem examination. Efforts are being made to apprehend the accused.”
In 2009, the defendants also murdered Vimal Yadav’s sibling. According to information, Vimal was the sole witness in that case, and there was pressure on him to change his testimony.
