On 10/08/2023 police station pattan received a written complaint from a person namely Gulshan Ahmad Parray S/O Ali Mohd Parray R/O Yall Pattan stating therein that on 08/08/2023, he placed his scooty bearing Reg No.JK05L/7626 in front of gate of his house and went inside. when he came back he found that some unknown burgler(s) have been stolen his above mentioned scooty. On receipt of this application case FIR NO.262/2023 U/S 379 IPC stands registered in this Police Station pattan and investigation was set into motion. During the course of investigation some suspects were called to the Police Station for questioning, moreover following the process on the basis of various human/technical inputs it came to surface that one suspect namely Amir Ahmad Wani S/O Ab Hameed Wani R/O Domvwani ,Tehsil Kegam , district Shopian has stolen the said scooty of the complainant and accordingly the said accused got arrested on 27/08/2023 and the stolen scooty was also recovered from the house of said accused . However The said accused is presently under Police remand and efforts are going on to ascertain and recover more stolen property from him if any.
