Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has unveiled the song “Dil Ka Telephone 2” from his upcoming movie “Dream Girl 2.” In this installment, Ananya Panday replaces Nushrratt Bharuccha as Ayushmann’s romantic interest. Similar to the original version, the new song evokes memories of Pooja, Ayushmann’s popular female portrayal.

“Dil Ka Telephone 2” introduces Pooja and her enamored admirers. Ayushmann and Ananya Panday showcase a fresh hook step while retaining the original melody. The song also showcases performances by Abhishek Banerjee, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, and others.

The song retains its original singers, Meet Bros and Jonita Gandhi, while Jubin Nautiyal is a new addition, replacing Nakash Aziz from the 2019 original. Meet Bros provide the music, and the new lyrics are penned by Kumaar.

Sharing the song on Twitter, Ayushmann wrote, “I’m in search of your love. #DilKaTelephone2 Song Out Now! #25AugustHogaMast #DreamGirl2 in Cinemas on 25th August.” Fans reacted enthusiastically in the comments, with one praising “Pooja supremacy” and another lauding the song as “fantastic.” Opinions were divided about Ananya’s participation, and many drew comparisons with the original version.

“Dream Girl 2” serves as the sequel to Ayushmann’s highly successful film, “Dream Girl,” released in 2019. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the sequel is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 25.

Ayushmann expressed his excitement about the film, stating, “Dream Girl was a blockbuster, so the sequel had to meet the high expectations set by the first film. I’m delighted that audiences are finding the trailer of Dream Girl 2 to be a riotous laugh. This film is designed to offer enjoyment and laughter for everyone. It’s a unique experience, and I’m relieved that people are enjoying my portrayal of Pooja in the film. It was a bold move to portray a character who masquerades as a girl and creates all this confusion. I’m truly pleased that audiences are embracing this aspect of my performance. Making people laugh is no easy task, but I’m confident this film will have the audience in stitches.”
