On Wednesday, September 11, Mehta, 62, reportedly jumped from the sixth floor of his residence at “Ayesha Manor” in Mumbai’s Bandra area. His wife was in their flat when the incident occurred. After the fall, Mehta was rushed to a hospital, but he was declared dead by doctors.
The post-mortem conducted later that evening at Bhabha Hospital revealed that multiple injuries were the cause of his death, according to police sources.
Following the incident, Malaika Arora released a heartfelt statement on Instagram, expressing the family’s sorrow. She described her father as a “gentle soul” and requested privacy during this difficult time. The family’s last rites for Anil Mehta will be held in Santacruz, Mumbai.
