DC Doda, Harvinder Singh has terminated the services of two officials of Rural Development Department after an enquiry report exposed involvement of these officials in corrupt and unethical practices during the discharge of their legitimate and lawful duties on multiple occasions.
The order in this regard by the DC Doda that terminated the two stated that Basharat Hussain, Gram Rozgar Sahayak (GRS) Panchayat Jakyas-A and Afaq Ahmed GRS Panchayat Chinyas, Block Jakyas were suspended on April 30, 2024 after an government order and Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda was appointed as Enquiry Officer while Assistant Commissioner Development Doda was appointed as presiding officer and they were supposed to submit a detailed report regarding allegations of corrupt practices adopted by the official during discharge of their duties in Block Jakyas.
The enquiry officer on May 3, 2024 submitted the detailed report which established that both the delinquent officials (GRS) have adopted corrupt and unethical practices during the discharge of their legitimate duties on multiple occasions and are being terminated.
Taking a cognisance of the enquiry report DC Doda ordered termination of services of Basharat Hussain, GRS Panchayat Jakyas-A and Afaq Ahmed, GRS Panchayat Chinyas, Block Jakyas under MGNREGA with immediate effect.

The ministry has two departments: the Department of Rural Development and the Department of Land Resources. Each is headed by a senior civil servant designated as the Secretary of the Department. Anita Choudhry is the secretary of Land Resources and Jugal Kishore Mahapatra, a senior bureaucrat from Odisha, is the secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development.
