The first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections recorded an 26.72% voter turnout by 11 am, official said.
“All the 24 assembly constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir have recorded 26.72 percent voter turnout till 11 am in the first phase of Assembly Elections in the Union Territory”, communicated the Chief Electoral Officer, J&K as per news agency Kashmir Bulletin
As per official data available with kB reads that, Anantnag recorded 25.55% voter turout, Doa 32%, Kishtwar 32.69%, Kulgam 25.95%, Pulwama 20.37%, Ramban 31.25% and Shopian recorded 25.96% voter turnout till 11am.
In 24 assembly constituencies across 7 districts of Jammu and Kashmir, assembly elections are being held today after a decade.
Lastly, the voter turnout has been in good number, as people are coming out from their homes to caste their vote, and men, women among people from different ages groups are seen in cues waiting outside election booths.
