5th Test Day 5: It seemed like deja vu for England and Australia at the Oval as rain once again was the villain on day four of the fifth and final Ashes 2023 Test.

Stuart Broad walked in for the final time with the bat to a big ovation but the innings ended quickly with the hosts putting up a target of 384 runs.

Usman Khawaja and David Warner would quickly eat up a majority of the score with their unbeaten partnership of 135 before rain intervened and called for the day to be abandoned.

England are aiming to stop Australia from a series win on English soil for the first time since 2001. Apart from this, the hosts will be also looking to give one of their great servants, Broad, a great farewell. But will the weather spoil the party?

According to the Met Office, the day is expected to start dry, but there’s a possibility of rain during the afternoon. The AccuWeather forecast also suggests a dry start to the day, with a chance of rain throughout the day.
