Taking to Twitter, the nodal agency for monitoring earthquake activity, NCS, shared, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.5, Occurred on 22-05-2023, 08:15:39 IST, Lat: 27.05 & Long: 97.04, Depth: 14 km, Location: 86km SSE of Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh” An earthquake measuring 5.5 magnitude struck off the northern California shore on Sunday (local time), according to the US Geological Survey (USGS), causing no reported damage or injuries.
The USGS said the quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres (6 miles) and took place 108 kilometres (67 miles) west of Petrolia, a community of about 1,000 people in rural Humboldt County.
