Apple made a significant announcement on Tuesday, introducing its latest iPhone 15 series. This marks a notable shift as it is the first in the flagship line to incorporate a USB-C charging port. The lineup comprises four models: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Pricing details are as follows: The iPhone 15 starts at ₹79,900, the iPhone 15 Plus is priced at ₹89,900, the iPhone 15 Pro is listed at ₹1,34,900, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max is available for ₹1,59,900.

Apple is currently offering instant savings of ₹6,000 on iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, along with ₹5,000 instant savings on iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models, as per information from the Apple website. Additionally, the company has introduced EMI plans for the iPhone 15 series.

In terms of specifications, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus feature 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively. The Pro models incorporate titanium for the sidebars instead of stainless steel, resulting in narrower borders around the screen.

All the new iPhone models boast a 48-megapixel main camera. The flagship Pro Max stands out with 5X optical zoom and 3X telephoto capability.

Powering the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is the A16 bionic chip, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are equipped with the A17 pro chip. Apple also highlighted that the batteries of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are crafted using 100% recycled cobalt.

These models introduce the Dynamic Island alerts interface at the top of the screen, a technology initially introduced in last year’s Pro models. Furthermore, all four phones receive a performance boost.

The iPhone 15 series represents a significant shift for Apple, as it is the first to adopt a USB-C connector, replacing the Lightning port that has been in use since 2012. This change was made to meet the requirements set by the European Union and ensure compatibility with chargers for Android phones, iPads, and Macs.
