A Vande Bharat Express from Maharashtra’s Nagpur to Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh was damaged after a collision with cattle on Monday. The animals collided with the train along the Moodhipar Parmalkasa rail section. The accident led to agitation in the area and locals threw stones at the train at several halts.
The collision took place around 5:30 pm on Monday, damaging the front part of the train. Following the incident, arrangements were made to send the train back to Nagpur from Bilaspur on Tuesday.
Besides stone pelting, officials are concerned about the series of such incidents of collisions with cattle.
