Amid dry weather, night temperature rises in J&K : MeT

As mainly dry weather continues, the minimum temperature recorded increase in Kashmir Valley as well as most parts of Jammu division on Monday.

A meteorological department official here told sources that Srinagar recorded a minimum of 6.4°C against 4.8°C on the previous night and it was normal for the summer capital of JK for this time of the year.

Pahalgam recorded a low of 0.7°C against 0.8°C on the previous night and it was 1.0°C below normal for the famous resort in south Kashmir.

Jammu, he said, recorded a minimum of 15.2°C and it was below normal by 1.9°C for the winter capital of J&K.

With regard to the forecast, he said, generally dry weather is expected till April 5 except April 3 when fairly widespread rain has been forecast.
