Over 300 plus services online now, 189 RAS integrated, providing services to citizens through Single Window: Dr Bilal
KULGAM, JANUARY 17: With an ultimate aim and objective to ensure prompt and robust public services delivery, the District Administration Kulgam has shifted all its public delivery services to online mode, majority of which are RAS integrated.
This paradigm shift or transition from offline to online mode has been made due to stringent efforts of District Administration. Especially noteworthy has been the digitization of Land Records.
Kulgam has achieved the feat of hosting all public services online in a record time, well before the January 26 deadline, informed the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat.
He further stated that in view of universal use of internet facilities and widening of the CSC network in the district, the complete shift towards e-Services is inevitable and the administration has been effective in providing these services online well before the Government’s deadline.
By this noteworthy transition, services are being provided to all at the click of a button with the quality check and feedback system of RAS and is a great feat in ensuring citizen centric public administration, he added.
All beneficiary, employment oriented and departments of Industries, Employment, Revenue, Agriculture and agri- allied, Health, H&UDD, Education, Tourism, Social Welfare, R&B, KVIB, Skill Development, FCS&CA, Transport, Jal Shakti, Cooperative, Mining and others have been effectively taken onboard RAS.
Services ranging from Applying for Ration Card, mutations, Fard, land demarcations, accessing land records to taking benefits of employment generation schemes, or venturing into entrepreneurship or getting into mining, all is available online now, said DC while adding that all people need to be sensitised about the same.
He said that all heads of departments have been asked to intensify massive awareness camps in remote areas of the district on the availability of these online services.
So far, it was intimated that the district has received a good response of services being accessed through online mode for various certificates, documents and services. In the Revenue department alone, over 90000 people have applied for various revenue services, out of which, about 88000 people have been provided services within time limits of Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) in the ongoing year. Rest is under process.
This online shift of services has paved the way for transparent, accountable and accessible Government to citizen transactions, where people need not to visit offices physically anymore, and has been cost effective for the people.
The online mode of devices has also ensured time-bound issuance of certificates, documents, and other services to the applicants/people and has infused a new vibrancy in the administrative system, added Dr Bilal. He also said that out of 320 services, 189 are RAS integrated.
With regard to Digitization of land records, DC said that Kulgam has completed Digitization of land records and people are proactively accessing and availing services through ‘Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani’ portal.
People are already getting various revenue certificates including income, domicile, category certificates, land change use and other revenue related services.
Rehbar-e-Kulgam portal which is a novel initiative of the District Administration Kulgam has been a significant motivation for the youth of the district to explore various employment generation schemes. It has created opportunities for young people to explore their diverse passions and interests and pursue businesses for self-employment.
For the sound economic future, Rehbar- e- Kulgam provides easy access to the unemployed youth of the district to connect and apply for establishing their ventures in different fields with a stable future through an integrated system.
