UP teacher should tie Rakhi: Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party, said on Saturday that the teacher should tie a rakhi to the child’s father as a “symbolic gesture of unity” after being accused of telling children to slap their Muslim classmates.
He suggested this in a post on X while sharing a video of the Muslim child hugging a classmate and referring to it as a “lesson in love.”
In a school in Muzzafarnagar, the Muslim boy’s classmates allegedly slapped him on the teacher’s orders. After a video of the incident gained widespread attention, a case was filed against the teacher.
The Samajwadi Party leader stated, “When uploading the footage of the two kids hugging, “Now taking a step ahead of this, the teacher should tie a rakhi to the child’s father, because the real root of the problem is not the estrangement between the children, but the hatred created by the propaganda in the heart of that teacher.”
He further said, “I hope she repents with a big heart and with lifelong atonement, she also resolves that she will now give the message of love to the children and will not only keep those inhuman-antisocial thoughts and elements away from her forever, but also raise her voice against them.”
