Airlines can form policies on carrying pets in cabin: Aviation regulator

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has said that airlines are permitted to formulate their own procedures for carriage of pets or animals in the cabin as the final responsibility of safety of flight is with the pilot-in-command.

All airlines are advised to formulate and prominently display on their website the policy of carriage of pets for better understanding of passengers, the aviation regulator said in a statement.
