Srinagar, June 18 : The Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) has strongly appealed to the Hon’ble Chief Minister Jenab Omar Abdullah to immediately fulfill the commitment made to CIC Operators working in the Rural Development Department (RDD) regarding the regularization of their services.
In a statement issued by AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi, the party expressed anguish over the prolonged exploitation of CIC Operators, who were appointed through a proper recruitment process in 2004 and have been continuously working in the department for the last 20 years.
“These youth have completed all codal formalities, have served with unmatched dedication and yet remain without job security or recognition. Their continued suffering is unjust and unacceptable,” said Inam Un Nabi.
Inam further added, “This is not a new issue. Our President & MP Baramulla Er Rashid, has always stood for justice and was among the first to raise this matter on the floor of the House and beyond. And now, when Er Rashid Sb is in jail, AIP MLA and Senior Leader Sheikh Khursheed is actively pursuing the cause. It’s painful to see that despite eight months of the current JKNC-led government, no positive development has taken place.”
Inam Un Nabi urged the Chief Minister to take immediate and concrete steps to resolve the long-pending issue. “These operators have been waiting with patience and hope. The government must not delay justice any further. It is high time to regularize their services and restore their dignity,” he asserted.
