The LG administration on Thursday resumed telecom services in J&K’s Rajouri and Poonch district, which were suspended by the local authorities in the respective regions after the union govt granted ST status to Paharis and others in the UT.
Heavy police and CRPF soldiers were deployed in different areas of the two districts to maintain law and order situation.
Yesterday, the DC Jammu apprised people not to post news or any kind of information on news portals/social media platforms that can disrupt peace and harmony in the region. He warned that section 144 of the CrPC will be invoked against the violators.
