ADGP Kashmir commends security forces for conducting incident-free G20 Summit

G20 summit in Kashmir: Additional Director General of Police Kashmir zone Vijay Kumar on Thursday extended heartfelt congratulations to the security forces for conducting incident free and successful.

While quoting ADGP Kumar on its official Twitter handle, Kashmir zone police, wrote “ADGP Kashmir congratulates officers and jawans of JKP, CRPF, Army, BSF, SSB, NSG, MARCOS, NDRF & intelligence agencies for conducting incident free & successful G20 Summit.”

The 3-day Summit started on May 22 in Srinagar, in which around 57 foreign delegates participated amid three-tier security cover.

The delegates also visited several tourist destinations in Srinagar including Mughal Gardens and Royal Springs Golf Course. They also visited refurbished Polo View market in Srinagar.

Meanwhile, the delegates left for New Delhi today morning after concluding the 3-day G20 Summit in Srinagar amid unprecedented security measures.

Benchmark stock market indices opened lower on Thursday due to increased volatility on F&O expiry day. Uncertainty over ongoing US debt ceiling talks has also kept investors on the edge.

The S&P BSE Sensex was down 133.99 points at 61,639.79 at 9:35 am, while the NSE Nifty 50 was down 36.45 points at 18,248.95. Broader market indices were also trading in line with the benchmark stock market indices.
