ADGP Jammu chairs security review meet ahead of R-Day

The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, today chaired a comprehensive security review meeting at the Zonal Police Headquarters to meticulously plan for the Republic Day celebrations.

As per a statement, officers from various intelligence agencies, Army, BSF, CRPF, Armed Forces, District Police, and civil administration attended the meeting.

During the meeting, ADGP Jammu, Anand Jain, underscored the imperative of collaborative efforts among law enforcement agencies, intelligence units, and stakeholders to forge a robust security framework.

The review delved into crowd management, traffic control, and the deployment of cutting-edge surveillance technologies for heightened situational awareness.
Anand Jain emphasized the need for thorough briefings for personnel assigned Republic Day duties, advocating for effective coordination at the grassroots level to ensure the seamless execution of the national event.

Specific attention was directed towards securing the venue, MA Stadium, with meticulous security arrangements.

In a proactive approach, Anand Jain instructed intelligence agencies, including SSP Jammu, to activate all available resources for advanced intelligence gathering related to Republic Day-2024, aiming to thwart any anti-national or anti-social activities.
Supervisory officers were urged to maintain heightened vigilance in their respective jurisdictional areas.

Emphasizing the significance of coordination, Anand Jain stressed effective collaboration among intelligence agencies, Army, PMF, Traffic, and Security wing in their respective areas.

SSP Jammu/SSP Traffic City, Jammu, were tasked with identifying and designating adequate parking slots in advance, ensuring orderly parking and traffic arrangements to minimize inconvenience for the general public attending the function.
The meeting, attended by key officers from various units, focused on collaborative efforts to guarantee a secure and seamlessly conducted Republic Day celebration in 2024.
