Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Wani today chaired a meeting in his office chamber to discuss the schedule for two-day training program for volunteers at each Gram Panchayat level through Aapda Mitra in Kargil district.
Chief Medical officer Kargil, SHO Kargil, Incharge UTDRF Kargil, Incharge Fire and Emergency Service Kargil , Accounts Officer to DC Kargil, Headquarter Assistant Kargil, Tehsildar Drass, Tehsildar Shargole and Tehsildar Kargil, Chairman Panchayat Committee Kargil attended the meeting physically, while as District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Kargil, Naib Tehsildar Zanskar and other officials/officers attended the meeting virtually.
The meeting discussed the schedules of the two-day training at each Gram Panchayat through Aapda Mitra implemented by the National Disaster Management Authority to train community volunteers for any disaster response.
Training shall be started after March 13 except the snow bound/avalanche-prone areas in Tehsil Zanskar, Drass and Taisuru. Also training in other snow bound/avalanches prone areas shall be conducted in April.
Further, the training would aware trainees about the usage of equipment provided that can help to tackle any uncertain situation.
The meeting discussed that the training will witness elected representatives, Sarpanches, Panchs, women, students, CD personnel, NYK volunteers and other potential responders from each helmet.
Further, the meeting discussed the facilities which shall be provided at the training centers. DPO and SDM/tehsildars will monitor the training in coordination with District Disaster Management Officer.
