Actor Rubina Dilaik had a narrow escape from a life-threatening situation when her car was forcefully hit by a truck driver at a Mumbai traffic signal on June 10. Recounting the incident, Dilaik explained that her car was slowing down as the signal turned yellow when she suddenly felt a strong jolt from behind. The collision occurred near the Inorbit mall in Malad. With her car traveling at a speed of 40-60, her head hit the seat in front of her, causing her to then fall back and land on her lower back. The impact was so severe that she was momentarily in shock. Fortunately, her husband Abhinav Shukla arrived and took charge of the situation.

In a tweet, Shukla warned about reckless drivers on their phones who jump traffic lights. Following the incident, he promptly took Dilaik to the hospital for medical tests, which fortunately showed no significant injuries. Dilaik mentioned that she has observed numerous instances of people carelessly disregarding signals while traveling towards Andheri, particularly between Bangur Nagar and Hypercity. Just days before the accident, she had discussed this issue with her husband, expressing concern about people negligently ignoring traffic rules. Unfortunately, this was not the first road accident her family had experienced recently. Dilaik revealed that her aunt and cousins were involved in a similar incident in Chandigarh, where a truck driver, under the influence of something, collided with their car, causing severe damage. However, they too narrowly escaped harm.

Reflecting on the situation, Dilaik expressed her frustration with the lack of adherence to traffic rules, emphasizing the dangers of being on the road. Following the incident, she took legal action against the truck driver, believing it was important to hold responsible parties accountable and raise awareness about such incidents. She also shared another incident involving her friend, who was waiting at a signal in a cab with her five-month-old daughter when their car was hit by another vehicle. These experiences further highlight the need for road safety and responsible driving.
