According to the latest data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday, India reported 699 new cases of coronavirus, while the number of active cases increased to 6,559.
As per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am, the death toll due to coronavirus in India rose to 5,30,808 with two new deaths reported. One death was reported by Odisha, while the other was reconciled by Kerala.
According to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday at 8 am, the daily positivity rate of coronavirus in India was recorded at 0.71 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 0.91 per cent.
The rate of fatalities due to Covid-19 cases was recorded at 1.19 per cent, while the number of people who have recovered from the disease increased to 4,41,59,617.
As per the official website of the ministry, the nationwide vaccination drive in India has administered a total of 220.65 crore doses of Covid vaccine.
