Tarun Chugh, the BJP’s national general secretary and the party’s coordinator for J&K and Ladakh, today attacked Farooq Abdullah, the president of the National Conference, for proposing talks with Pakistan at a time when Pakistan is bringing organized terrorist groups to J&K to intensify their terrorist activities.
Chugh responded forcefully to Abdullah’s proposal, stating that Pakistan could only be dealt with in the same way that it has been dealing with India—that is, by encouraging and orchestrating cross-border terrorism.
According to Chugh, the Modi administration is focused on eliminating Pakistan-sponsored terrorism before considering other options.
“Farooq Abdullah should stop behaving like a Pakistan ISI PRO and think of India as a nation first”, said Chugh adding that it is strongly reprehensible that instead of asking Pakistan to stop terrorist activities in J&K Abdullah was suggesting India to go for peace talks.
Chugh said it is extremely unfortunate that Abdullahs have been always speaking in the voice of Pakistan and have no concern for the development and growth of the common man in J&K.
Abdullahs should vehemently denounce Pakistan-sponsored terrorism during a period when J&K tourism is at its height. Rather, Abdullah should instruct their mentors in Pakistan to put an end to cross-border terrorism before offering any recommendations to the Modi administration. Chugh continued.
