From Centre to Raj Bhawan everyone fighting election against NC

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and NC candidate from Kashmir’s Baramulla constituency for 2024 LoK Sabha elections taking a dig at PDP said that people should vote for such a candidate, who can talk about their demands very clearly in the parliament. He said this while criticising PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti during a public gathering in Kashmir today for not joining hands in earlier and present elections with NC against BJP.

Addressing a public gathering in Kashmir, Omar said, “Even that time I told Mehbooba Mufti to not make a relation with Bhartiya Janta  Party as we have to suffer huge losses but she didn’t agreed. The situation is before our eyes since 2016 as during that time there used to be talks about unimportant things but not about issues of people. In 2018 when PDP nominated Mr Altaf Bukhari for elections we wrote a letter to them and informed that we are ready to have a PDP led Chief minister for Jammu and Kashmir to make Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) unsuccessful in J&K”.

Speaking further during the public gathering about extending support to PDP in earlier elections, Omar Abdullah, said, “You will not find a single political party in the whole country who has supported thrice its opposition to form a government as we don’t think of any political organisation except welfare of Jammu and Kashmir. We think of people of Jammu and Kashmir, its situation but we cannot hide a truth for a  long time as it gets exposed one day. Even in 2015, I couldn’t understood why Mufti Sahab  disagreed for a coalition with us and not even in 2016 I understood why Mehbooba Sahiba denied our friendship proposal for elections. But when Altaf Bukhari formed his own party then they understood as he has said several times in his speeches that BJP and PDP were already in friendly terms even before 2014. The people who have hoodwinked thrice how to trust them.

He added, “It is easy to give lectures during public gatherings as people will sit and quietly listen to it and also media as it quietly hear your replies, but in parliament nobody hears anyone quietly as people there raise slogans, create noise, mikes can be turned off, so it is huge difference to speak during public  gatherings and in parliament sessions. BJP don’t sit quietly. In 2008 she was not able to speak and what she will speak, how she will represent you in parliament in 2024, he said, “Toh aap voh umeedvar chunye jo aapki Delhi jaa kar aapke mutalbo ki baat kare, jo yaha ki halaat kay bare me baat kare, jo humse cheena gaya hai chahe voh 370, A-35, humara  aaien, izzat, waqar, pechaan ho (People have to elect a candidate in 2024 elections who can talk about your demands in Delhi, who can talk about J&K’s situation and about A-370, A-35, J&K’s constitution, honor, identity which has been snatched  from us). We must have to protect all these things and also have to protect our lands given by our Sher-e-Kashmir (Shiekh Abdullah) Sahab, jobs, future of our children. So it is very necessary that the voters take right decision on May 7 here. The vote which will not go for NC it will directly go to support BJP as we have only seen destruction in J&K during their tenure that is why they are not fielding their candidates here. So I strongly appeal to every youth, men, women, elderly to vote for NC on 7 May”.
