A delegation from Kanji village headed by Councillor Lamayuru, Dr Morup Dorjey called on Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson today. Executive Councillor for RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, and Assistant Engineer, RDD Khaltse Block were also present during the meeting.
The village representatives expressed gratitude to the Hill Council, Leh and especially EC Tashi Yakzee for providing various assistance including the construction of solarised gathering centre for the Women’s Self-Help Group (Ama Tsogspa) of Kanji. They further put forth several grievances and developmental issues of Kanji village to the Chairman LAHDC Leh.
While interacting with the delegation, CEC Tashi Gyalson stated that villages like Kanji need special attention for which Hill Council, Leh would extend all possible support and assistance to resolve the developmental issues gradually.
The delegation comprised Naib Sarpanch, Nambardar, President Ama Tsogspa, and the President, of Youth Association Kanji.
