ANANTNAG, JANUARY 19 (GULISTAN NEWS TV) : In a remarkable archaeological find, several sculptures dating back to the 9th century have been discovered on the outskirts of Hirpora, a historic village located just four kilometers away from Mughal Road and Twelve Kilometres From Shopian.

Historians suggest that the sculptures may date back to the reign of Raja Awantiwarman, with Sura serving as his prime minister during this period.

The discovered sculptures are believed to represent Shiv Lingas, an important symbol in Hindu worship. While the sculptures had been seen by locals in the past.
