The mobile phone was being used by Adithyasree, a resident of Kerala’s Thiruvilvamala. While Adithyasree was watching a video on the phone at night at her house in Thiruvilawamala in Thrissur district, it exploded in her face at around 10:30 pm on Monday, the police said.
The deceased was a Class 3 student at Christ New Life School, Tiruvilvamala.The child was watching the video on a second-hand phone bought three years ago. Forensic experts reached the spot and conducted an examination.
As per Pazhayannur Police, a detailed investigation is going on. The child suffered serious injuries to her face. Aditya Sri is the daughter of a former member of Pazhayannur Block Panchayat, Ashok Kumar, and Soumya.
