710 Works under DDC, BDC, PRI grants completed at Bandipora

The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan on Thursday chaired a meeting of officers to review the functioning of the Rural Development Department and implementation of various schemes by the department.
On the occasion, officers informed the chair about the ongoing works including works taken up under Area Development Fund for Panchayat Raj Institutions including BDC and PRI grants.
The meeting was informed that 1026 works costing Rs 37.44 Cr have been approved including 839 works under PRI grants, 94 under BDC grants and 93 under DDC grants.
Giving an update about the implementation, officers informed that 710 works have been completed that amounts to 80 percent of the financial expenditure costing about Rs 22 cr.
On the occasion, ADDC also reviewed all the pending works and discussed the bottlenecks that hinder the progress of works including the works under Swachh Bharat Mission, PMJAY scheme, MGNREGA, Aspirational blocks, ODF plus villages.
He directed the officers to complete all works well in time and remove all the bottlenecks including land disputes at earliest. He also asked the officers to utilize the manpower under MGNREGA so that the target of 100 days job to unskilled and unemployed youth of the villages is also met.
All the officers assured the chair that the pending works will be completed well before the end of this financial year.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Imtiyaz Ahmad; ACD Abdul Rasheed Das, ACP, BDOs, Ex. Engineers and other concerned officers.
