6 Administrative Secretaries Nominated as J&K Nodal Officers for Upcoming National Conference

The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) government has designated six Administrative Secretaries as Union Territory (UT) level Nodal Officers for various themes and pillars in preparation for the 4th National Conference of Chief Secretaries. The conference is scheduled to take place in November 2024 in New Delhi.

According to the Government Administrative Department (GAD) order, the appointed Nodal Officers and their respective themes are as follows:

Administrative Secretary, Industry and Commerce Department: Nodal Officer for the pillar “Creating Enabling Ecosystem – Focus on Tier 2 & 3 Cities” with a sub-theme of “Manufacturing.” The nodal ministry for this theme will be the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.

Administrative Secretary, Information Technology Department: Nodal Officer for the pillar “Creating Enabling Ecosystem – Focus on Tier 2 & 3 Cities” with a sub-theme of “Services.” The nodal ministry will be the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

Administrative Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department: Nodal Officer for the pillar “MSME and Informal Employment” with a sub-theme of “Rural Non-Farm.” The nodal ministry will be the Department of Rural Development.

Administrative Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department: Nodal Officer for the pillar “MSME and Informal Employment” with a sub-theme of “Urban.” The nodal ministries will be the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

Administrative Secretary, Science and Technology Department: Nodal Officer for the pillar “Opportunities in Green Economy” with a sub-theme of “Renewable Energy.” The nodal ministry will be the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

Administrative Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department: Nodal Officer for the pillar “Opportunities in Green Economy” with a sub-theme of “Circular Economy.” The nodal ministry will be the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

The Nodal Officers are tasked with preparing and submitting UT-specific notes and feedback for their respective sub-themes. They must upload these documents on the designated portal (http://ncsconf.gov.in) within the specified deadlines and adhere to the guidelines issued by the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog, Government of India.
