53rd Vijay Diwas Celebrated with Patriotic Fervor by Shakti Vijay Brigade in Tangdhar

Tangdhar witnessed a grand celebration of the 53rd Vijay Diwas, commemorating India’s historic victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak War. The event, organized by the Shakti Vijay Brigade, was marked by patriotic fervor, enthusiasm, and grandeur.

The celebration commenced with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial. Brigadier S.K. Pradhan, VSM*, Commander of Shakti Vijay Brigade, along with 1971 war veterans from Tehsil Karna, paid homage to the Bravehearts who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation. School and college students present at the ceremony were deeply inspired by the legacy of courage and devotion demonstrated by the Indian Armed Forces.

A special felicitation ceremony honored the 1971 war veterans from Karna. The event was attended by Mr. Zafar Ahmad Lone, Sub Divisional Magistrate of Karna; Prof Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad, Principal of Degree College Tangdhar; Mr. Ashtaf Wani, SHO Karnah; and over 200 Indian Army veterans with their families.

As part of the celebration, painting and essay competitions saw enthusiastic participation from over 350 students, who showcased their creativity through thought-provoking and emotional presentations. Winners were felicitated by the Commander and Sub Divisional Magistrate, amid applause from the audience.

Cultural performances by students from **Army Goodwill School, Hajinar, and New Light Public School, Tangdhar added vibrancy to the event, invoking patriotic sentiments among attendees.

In his address, Commander S.K. Pradhan paid heartfelt tributes to the Bravehearts and praised the 1971 war veterans for their valor and sacrifice. He also acknowledged their ongoing contributions to nation-building and encouraged students to harness their potential and work tirelessly to achieve their goals.

The Commander called upon citizens to draw inspiration from India’s proud legacy and traditions, urging them to selflessly contribute to the nation’s progress and development.

The event concluded with an overwhelming sense of pride and patriotism, leaving an indelible impression on the community.
