Pulwama, 28th August : The scrutiny of nomination forms for the 2024 General Elections for the Legislative Assembly (GELA-2024) was conducted today across the four Assembly Constituencies in Pulwama district.
In 32-Pampore Assembly Constituency, a total of sixteen (16) nomination forms were submitted by candidates. Following a detailed scrutiny process, fourteen (14) forms were accepted, while two (02) forms were rejected during the process.
Similarly, in Tral Assembly Constituency, thirteen (13) nomination forms were reviewed, resulting in ten (10) forms being accepted and three (03) forms being rejected.
In Pulwama Assembly Constituency, fourteen (14) nomination forms were examined. Out of these, twelve (12) forms were accepted, and two (02) were rejected.
In Rajpora Assembly Constituency, twelve (12) nomination forms were scrutinized, leading to the acceptance of ten (10) forms and the rejection of two (02) forms.
Following the scrutiny, the General Observer, Shri Vadarevu Vinay Chand (IAS), along with the Returning Officer and Assistant Returning Officer for 32-Pampore, conducted an inspection of the Counting Hall at Government Degree College (Women’s), Pulwama, and the Strong Room at EDI Pampore. During the visit, the General Observer provided essential guidelines and instructions for the preparation of the Counting Hall and the Strong Room for the 32-Pampore Assembly Constituency.
The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Pulwama also accompanied the General Observer during this inspection.
