Police party under the supervision of S.H.O Police Station Nowgam, DDC Chairman Malik Aftab and Tehsildar Pantha Chowk launched a drive to destroy Cannabis plants along the banks of River jehlum. During the drive the cannabis plants were destroyed from Gandabal to soiteng . Three mechanized grass cutters and other cutting tools were put in service to destroy the plants.
The drive will continue in the coming days so that this weed is destroyed from other areas also.
