Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday said due to the pro-industry environment and ease of doing business policies, an investment of Rs 30,000 crore had firmed up in the state during the last nine months, which would create new employment opportunities for thousands of youngsters.
“Big industry houses like Tata Steel, Verbio, Freudenberg and Sanathan Textiles have entered into agreements to invest by reposing faith in our industrial policies, which will provide jobs to our youth,” the Chief Minister said while handing over appointment letters to newly recruited candidates in Markfed and launching new products at the Municipal Bhawan here today. He said the entire recruitment process had competed on the basis of merit. Sharing another milestone, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said appointment letters would be distributed among 3,000 youths of the master cadre next month, which would further strengthen school education system in the state.
The Chief Minister said for the first time, a historic decision had been taken to recruit 1,800 constables and 300 sub-inspectors every year in the Police Department. The dates of examinations had also been fixed, which would now give time to youths to prepare for securing job, the Chief Minister added.
