January 29 (Gulistan News TV): At least 30 people were injured in a stampede-like situation at the ongoing Maha Kumbh festival in Uttar Pradesh, as surging crowds near the ‘Sangam’ led to the collapse of barricades.The chaos erupted about a kilometer from the sacred confluence, causing panic and suffocation, particularly among women.Emergency responders rushed to the scene to assist the injured, while authorities have since reinforced crowd control measures.In response to the incident, several Akharas (Hindu monastic orders) decided to skip the scheduled holy dip.
