In a heart wrenching mishap, four individuals lost their lives as a boat capsized in central Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday (April 16) morning.
As per sources, the tragic mishap took place when a boat drowned carrying minors and children in which four children died and three others suffered wounds crossing the river Jhelum from Gandbal to Batwara in Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
After the incident, the river police immediately swung into action and all the children, minors identified as students were retrieved from the river. They were hastily taken to SMHS Srinagar for treatment.
However, when the four children who were brought to the hospital they were pronounced as dead on arrival by the doctors.
A case has been registered in this matter and a probe has been begin.
