An earthquake of magnitude 3.3 struck near Manipur’s Ukhrul district in the early hours of Saturday. According to the National Center for Seismology, tremors were felt at around 12:14 am and the quake’s depth was at 70 kilometres.
So far, there have been no reports of any injuries caused by the earthquake. Further details are awaited.
Earlier, on Tuesday, an earthquake of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale struck Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang. On the same day, another earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 hit Laddakh. The quake occurred 401 km north of Kargil, at a depth of 150 km.
