A two-year-old girl was raped and murdered by her father’s friend in Gujarat’s Surat on Monday.
The accused, identified as Ismail alias Yusuf Salim Hazar, was arrested within hours of the crime while trying to leave the state.
According to the police, Ismail picked up the girl from her home on the pretext of buying her chivda (flattened rice) and took her near an under-construction site.
