A two-day training program on the application and documentation procedure of various Raksha Mantri Ex-servicemen Welfare Fund (RMEWF) welfare schemes and procedure of DLC on SPARSH for ex-servicemen, war widows and widows started today in Kargil under the banner Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The program was chaired by Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Kacho Muhammad Ali Khan who is also Chief Agriculture Officer, Kargil. Besides the staff of ZSWO, a large number of ex-servicemen of the district attended the program.
The training program was aimed to aware ex-servicemen, war widows and widows about the digitization process in accessing welfare schemes and avail benefits from these schemes.
Senior Assistant ZSWO said the program is aimed to aware the stakeholders to access different financial assistance provided by the Govt. of India under RMEWF welfare schemes that include financial assistance for the education of children, marriages etc.
During the program, the process and procedure of registration and documentation was wasdemonstrated to the participants. Junior Assistant ZSWO, Nisar Hussai said ex-servicemen can avail financial assistance by registering themselves on KSB website.
