In the crackdown by the government on pharma companies making spurious or contaminated drugs, 18 pharma companies are expected to lose their licence, said a health ministry source.
The licence will be revoked over the quality of the medicines. At least 76 pharma companies have been inspected. State and central drug regulators have also done joint inspections in 20 states.
