Odisha triple-train crash site: Restoration work, after three trains Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express and a goods train were involved in the accident, began at the crash site in Odisha’s Balasore. The recent train collision is regarded as one of the worst railway tragedies in the history of the country.

In the aftermath of the triple train crash in odisha’s Balasore, the Ministry of Railways stated that restoration work was underway and that a workforce of “more than a thousand” workers and officials were present at the crash site. The ministry said that the authorities were closely monitoring the restoration process.

Three trains Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express and a goods train were involved in the accident, one of the worst railway tragedies in the history of the country.

The disastrous three-train crash took place near Balasore district, about 250 km south of Kolkata and 170 km north of Bhubaneswar, around 7 pm on Friday.

Odisha triple-train crash site: At present, authorities, including the Ministry of Railways, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), stated that search and rescue operations have been completed at the derailment site and that restoration work has commenced. NDRF teams are conducting final searches after they claimed to have retrieved 112 bodies. “After rescuing 44 live victims & retrieving 112 bodies till now, NDRF teams are conducting a Final Search with other agencies,” NDRF stated.
