A day after Delhi court lambasted Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain for getting VVIP treatment in Tihar jail, sources told India Today that as many as ten people were assigned to provide all services to Jain inside his room. Eight people, in particular, took care of Satyendar Jain’s needs, including cleaning his room, making his bed, and providing outside food, mineral water, fruits and clothes. In his plea, Jain had stated that he was not given ‘Jain food’ and access to the temple, adding that he does not eat regular food without going to the temple and was on a ‘religious’ diet of fruits and salad for the past few days.
On Wednesday, the court had sought a reply from Tihar Jail authorities regarding the AAP leader’s complaint about not getting proper food. In reply to this, the administration said that there was no request available with the office of the Superintendent Central Jail.
