1 killed, another hurt in lightning in Udhampur

Jammu: A man was killed while his son sustained critical injuries after being struck by a lightning in Pathi Pangara village of Udhampur of Jammu yesterday.
The deceased has been identified as Shalu Ram (45) s/o Chand while his wounded son has been identified as Rinku Kumar (28) both residents of Pathi Pangara of Udhampur, Jammu.
As per report, the incident happened when a father and son duo were going to their shop in Pathi Pangara village of Udhampur and on the way they were struck by lightning, leading to the on the spot death of the man and grave wounds to his son.
After the incident, the man-son duo was taken to GMC Udhampur by the villagers where the doctors pronounced Shalu Ram as brought dead, while his son is receiving treatment at the medical facility who has suffered severe burn injuries.
