A woman died while four other persons, including her husband, sustained injuries in a multiple-vehicle collision on the Jammu-Pathankot highway at Dayalachak in Kathua district yesterday.
Police said that the accident occurred when two motorcycles were hit by a rashly driven bus from their rear side and then it collided with another speeding bus.
The sudden collision also involved three-to-four cars coming from the rear side.
“In the accident, motorcyclists and their pillion-riders besides another person sustained injuries. One of the pillion-riders died on the spot while the rest of the injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital, Kathua,” Police said.
